Dear SAND subscriber,

A few months ago, we embarked on a journey to the enchanting land of Aotearoa (New Zealand) to capture footage for our upcoming film, which focuses on Indigenous cultures and healing practices across the globe. During our time there, we had the immense privilege of meeting Atarangi Murupaenga, a Māori Healer. Atarangi's profound wisdom and teachings trace back to her upbringing in the remote coastal community of Ahipara, where she learned from her elders.

Originally, our intention was to film an interview with Atarangi. However, to our surprise and delight, she graciously invited our entire film crew to personally experience her deeply intuitive and transformative ancestral healing techniques. It is challenging to put into words the profound and extraordinary encounters that each of us had. It felt as if our very beings were reconfigured on a cellular level, freeing us from long-held patterns and allowing energy to flow through our bodies with a renewed sense of ease.

Whenever we encounter something deeply moving, we are compelled to share it with our beloved community. Thus, we are immensely grateful to Atarangi for graciously agreeing to offer a unique class in the art of Mahi Raakau, a form of self-healing. Each session promises distinct energy and presents an opportunity for us to delve into various aspects of these exceptional healing teachings and practices.

Join
Atarangi Murupaenga for a 2-part live, online participatory workshop in Mahi Rākau - Self Help / Self Healing. Our bodies have the innate ability to heal, all that we need is within us and Mahi Rākau opens the door to our body's own healing knowledge.

Saturdays, June 3 & 10 2023
12:00 – 2:30pm PDT
Contribution: $124.99 ($99 for SAND Supporters)
Sessions will be recorded and available to participants

In Māori, Mahi means: to work / a job / an action of, and Rākau: a stick / a tree / a branch / a leaf / a medicine / a stance.

With the use of the Rākau you will be guided through an interactive self-healing session, which can be both easeful and challenging. As you do the work you will experience what the body has been calling for all this time and it isn't always comfortable!

In each session, Atarangi will address your questions while sharing these unique Maori Ancestral healing teachings.
We are looking forward to experiencing together this very special offering!

Love,
The SAND Team
